We were invited by the Interior Design Show (IDS) to create a submission for a rug design competition being held at that year's Show. The top 10 designs were fabricated by Weavers Art and ours was among the winning selections. Inspired by a recent trip to the Scottish Highlands, “Clash of the Tartans” was a graphic interlocking of a mixed use of plaids in one frame. The neutral, rather than traditional primary colour scheme, was used for a timeless and fashion-forward look that would easily work in any living space.
