In 2012 our principal was one of 21 interior, fashion and graphic designers and architects invited by the Interior Design Show (IDS) and ONEXONE to re-imagine the MAGIS Julian Children’s Chair. Each chair was auctioned off with proceeds going to help ONEXONE’s Pediatric Wing at the Mirebalais Hospital in Haiti and the First Nations School Breakfast Program. In collaboration with Ridgely Studio Works, our design was a custom welded matte black metal shell faceted over the original plastic chair to contrast the smooth exterior with something dynamic and expressive. Turns out we loved him so much we were compelled to cast the winning bid and give this little guy his forever home as our office mascot.
