Located on Queen Street East in the heart of Leslieville, the installation featured the ability to make a contactless purchase of the book via a QR code, with orders fulfilled through local nearby retailer, Queen Books. In addition, a contest element encouraged sharing of photos of the installation for a chance to win a copy signed by Oliver Jeffers.

With a flickering fire, twinkling stars, a UFO illuminated with flashing LED lights, a car with working headlights en route to a glowing moon, and slow moving planets and tools, the display was a true visual feast.

The concept for the installation was developed and designed by Coolab, with technical lighting and magic from the amazing team at wonderMakr, a Toronto based creative technology studio.

This window experience was an exciting creative opportunity for us to work with someone we truly admired, on something that would spread a little joy and inspiration in our community. As huge fans of Oliver Jeffers, we were proud to collaborate with the team at HarperCollinsCanada on this project and were pleased to learn how impressed Oliver was with this one-of-a-kind installation for his latest release. And being able to execute our vision in our own neighbourhood while also supporting a fellow Leslieville small business made this execution all the more rewarding.
