To draw attention from the outside, a multi-width video tile installation was created inside the existing shipping container space, displaying a simple animation of the classic HBC stripes, in random passing movement from end to end. The intention was to bring the stripes to life in a striking, yet subtle way, all while maintaining visibility into the shop.

The interior of the space featured an end-to-end backlit shelving display, reflected in The Bay's holiday campaign, with a video tile wall to promote the holiday campaign and other relevant content. Down the centre, a simple and classic custom display counter was built as a place to connect and converse. The overall core idea was to ultimately create a space that could easily transition from one activation theme to another, by seamlessly switching out video content and quicly adopting a fresh colour scheme in a short timeframe.
