We were approached by the Waxon team to create a retail concept, complete brand and overall vision for their soon-to-launch express wax bar. The flagship location was to be based in Toronto’s Rosedale neighbourhood with plans to expand across multiple locations.

The mandate was a bold, colourful yet simple design that could easily be spotted from the street. There was also a desire to incorporate a New York vibe, where express spa services were somewhat new and very much on trend at the time. Our client was thrilled with the final look, into which we injected a playful tone via cheeky messaging surrounding the services (i.e. “From Toronto to Brazil in 10 minutes”). The brand was translated onto their product packaging and today WAXON is going strong with 12 locations and counting.
